2025 Farm Fun

Each year at the Wicked Windy Ranch promises to be interesting and full of new adventures. Here are a few of the highlights of 2025….

Our smallest horse, Buddy, tamed the biggest horse, Scout, with love nibbles.

Gertrude (the gobble maker) and Moby Duck tried to hatch a mixed clutch of eggs. It was quite dysfunctional because most days, Gertrude was sitting on Moby Duck who was sitting on the eggs. Not exactly sure what happened, but eventually all the eggs disappeared and no chicks hatched. We’ve spent the fall and winter coaching the ladies on proper nesting behavior and hope to have more success in 2026.

We had 3 of the friendliest pullets that we added to the rotation. Bud named them: Velociraptor, Falcon, and Hawk because they were definitely not timid chickens.

Pebbles had her calf in May and what a cutey! The fluff balls never disappoint.
